Want to make a Kate Rock? Join Kate MacLeod to explore easy yet effective methods to cast with CBS Dichroic glass, CBS Dichroic Extract, and Glow Powder. Learn how to create your own cast, use pre-formed casts to their best advantage, and cast extraordinary pendants with concentric circles. Wondering what to do with your dichroic scrap? This fun, two day class is for you!

Students will cast four pieces using four methods, yielding one small Kate Rocks!, two cast glass pieces and four pendants. This class is structured for beginning to intermediate fusers. Basic glass cutting skill and fusing knowledge required.

What to Bring: A very small spoon and scraping tool, a circle cutter, decent pair of sissors, glass cutter.

Learn how to create your own cast, use pre-formed casts to their best advantage, and cast extraordinary pendants with concentric circles. Wondering what to do with your dichroic scrap? This fun, two-day class is for you! Students will cast four pieces using four methods, yielding one Kate Rocks!, two cast glass pieces and four pendants. Instructor Profile: Kate MacLeod is the 2011 and 2013 First Place Winner of the CBS Dichroic by Design Contest. Kate has a long history in art and design and holds a BFA and an MBA, and is the former co-founder and co-owner of Glass Symphony. She has published in multiple magazines and has a video on dichroic extract on You-Tube, which was produced by CBS. She enjoys her quiet country lifestyle outside of Bend, Oregon while working commissions and independent whim.
